At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the port of Olhao, where we'll board a boat to start the cruise along the Ria Formosa. Are you ready to explore one of the seven Natural Wonders of Portugal?
Aboard the boat, we'll tell you all about this gorgeous wetland in the Algarve region, the environmental characteristics of this estuary, its vegetation, and we'll focus especially on its wildlife. Did you know that this area is especially famous for its bird diversity?
The first stop of the day will be at Farol Island, where we'll step off the boat. You'll have 45 minutes of free time here to visit the famous Cabo de Santa Maria Lighthouse, which is an iconic symbol of the Algarve.

If you're joining us in summer, we'll head to Armona Island for our next stop. Should you be doing the activity in winter, we'll visit Desierta Island. Whichever island we visit, you'll have 1 hour of free time to explore their beautiful natural scenery.
Having spent 5 hours 30 minutes exploring Ria Formosa, we'll drop you off back at the port of Olhao.
