During the booking process, you can choose the type of train to travel to Machu Picchu from Ollantaytambo, which will last approximately 1.5 hours. In both trains, there is a cafeteria service on board that you can enjoy at your own pace.

The Expedition Train will take you to Aguas Calientes, which is the gateway to Machu Picchu, gliding along one of the most spectacular railway routes in the world.
During the journey, you'll admire the Andean scenery that'll leave you lost for words. You'll love gazing out at the views from the train's large windows and admiring the landscapes.
If you choose the Vistadome Train, you'll travel to Machu Picchu in a fun and unique way. The carriages have scenic windows in the walls and ceilings that'll make you feel like you're part of the outside nature.
Plus, you'll have the chance to witness a small cultural parade and show with traditional music and dance, showcasing the authentic Peruvian art that makes this journey more than just a train ride.
The 7:04 pm train makes a mid-way stop at the Avenida Imperio de los Inkas, located in the town of Machu Picchu. Please note that this station is not the main stop.
The trains to Machu Picchu have a very limited availability, so we recommend booking as much time in advance as possible. If there are no availability for the option you selected, we offer tickets in equivalent services: Voyager instead of Expedition and 360 instead of Vistadome, following the same route and the schedule as similar as possible.
After booking, 48 hours before the train departs, we'll send you your official tickets that will allow you to board the trains.
