At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Palmas to begin this 4-day tour of the Chapada das Mesas National Park. Ready to discover the stunning nature in Maranhão? Let's go!
After an enjoyable journey of around 500 kilometres (310 miles), we'll arrive at Carolina. Here, we'll make a first stop for lunch and then we'll have the opportunity to admire the beauty of this city: the Gemelas Waterfalls, also known as the Itapecuru Waterfalls.
We'll finish the first day by arriving at the accommodation where you'll be able to rest. See you tomorrow!
We'll leave Carolina behind us and make our way towards Riachão. There, we'll see iconic spots in Chapada such as the Encanto Azul, the Pozo Azul, the Los Enamorados Waterfall, the Santa Bárbara Waterfall and the Paula Waterfall. You'll love these impressive waterfalls and crystal-clear waters in the region over the days surrounded by nature.
We'll then return to the accommodation in Riachão to rest and spend the night there.
On the third day of our trip, we'll visit the Pedra Caída Tourist Complex, a true piece of paradise and the Sanctuary Waterfall. In addition, if you want, you can visit the Capellán Waterfall, the Caverna Waterfall, the Garrote Waterfall and the Porteira Waterfall. You'll also have the chance to admire the sunset above the Tocantins River. What more could you ask for?
We'll bring this day to an end back at the accommodation.
Our final day of the trip will be dedicated to visiting the Chapada das Mesas Portal, where we'll have some amazing views of the town of Morro do Chapéu.
Finally, we'll return to Palmas, where we'll arrive back at around 3 pm and bring this tour to an end.
If you choose the 5-day tour option, the itinerary will be very similar to the one described above. The extra day will be the third day, which will be dedicated to visiting the Prata and São Romão Waterfalls.
On the 4th day, we'll visit the Pedra Caída Tourist Complex and the Sanctuary Waterfall. On the last day, we'll head to the Chapada das Mesas Waterfall before beginning our return journey to Palmas, where we'll arrive at around 3 pm.
