Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and begin our guided tour of Pitalito, one of the villages with the highest coffee production in Colombia.
Firstly, we'll visit the Parque de la Presentación La Valvanera, a park where you'll be able to admire some of the monuments that honour the Laboyanos, as those born in Pitalito are known due to their location in the Laboyos Valley.
Next, we'll visit the Town Hall in the Municipal Administrative Centre La Chapolera and see the building's colonial architecture, which can also be observed at the Regional Laboyano Museum and the Municipal Library.
Later, we'll get to know the Lorenzo Cuéllar Molina School of Arts and Crafts, whose work promotes the knowledge of arts and crafts in the workforce for people from vulnerable communities.
In the centre, we'll explore Principal José Hilario López Park, an emblematic square decorated with palm trees surrounding the San Antonio Church, one of the most important architectural structures in the area.
During the tour, we'll also see paintings by various visual artists that are part of the largest open-air Laboyano museum in Huila. Additionally, as Pitalito has been regarded as one of the biggest producers of special coffee, we'll visit some of its most well-known shops.
Lastly, we'll visit the Héctor Polanía Sánchez Cultural Centre, a great space where local and regional cultural events and activities take place. We'll reach our initial meeting point after a total of 4 hours.
