Bacalar Lagoon Day Trip
The Bacalar Lake, known as the Lagoon of the Seven Colors, because of the varying shades of its water, is one of the natural treasures of the Yucatan. Let this beautiful natural paradise seduce your senses when you take this fantastic trip from Riviera Maya.
Bacalar Lagoon Day Trip
After picking you up from your selected location we'll head towards the shores of Bacalar Lake, which is known as the "lagoon of the seven colors" due to the contrasting tones of its water.
During the bus ride, we'll offer you a light breakfast. Upon arrival at the picturesque village of Bacalar, we'll board a boat for a peaceful ride on the Bacalar Lagoon. We'll see the emblematic stromatolites of Bacalar, mineral formations very similar to reefs that have natural properties, including skin exfoliation.
You'll have free time to take a dip in the clear waters of the lagoon, and we'll also refresh ourselves in the nearby cenotes Negro, Cocalito and Perla.
We'll then drive to the village of Bacalar and sample the local cuisine with a traditional lunch. In the afternoon we'll visit the historic centre, to find monuments such as the San Felipe Fort: a fortress built during the conflict with the English in the 18th century.
Finally, after a 12 hour tour of Bacalar, we'll return to the Riviera Maya.
