At the indicated time we'll meet at Memories Jibacora Resort Hotel at Playa Jibacoa. There it'll be easy to spot the classic motorbike we'll be using for this tour to Hershey Gardens. Are you ready for the adventure? Let's get started!
Before starting the tour, we'll tell you the most interesting facts about classic motorbikes, a means of transport that has been in use for more than 60 years. But don't worry, it's as good as new! From there, we'll ride 55 kilometres along Via Blanca, a road that takes its name from the white sandy beaches on the northeast coast of Havana.
After an hour's drive through leafy groves, you'll arrive at Hershey Gardens. Stay tuned! During the journey, we may even hear the song of native birds such as the tocororo. We'll also make a few stops to take photos and admire the scenery around us.
As we tour the area, we'll tell you how in the 1930s Milton Hershey, American philanthropist and founder of a very famous chocolate company, created the town and its gardens, hence its name! Also, did you know that this is one of the most picturesque towns in Cuba?
As soon as you arrive at the gardens, you'll be amazed by the crystal-clear waters of the river. Once there, we'll move to a secluded spot to spend the rest of the morning swimming and enjoying the small waterfalls. Have you worked up an appetite? It's time to get your strength back! We'll then eat a delicious picnic lunch in one of the local places.
In the afternoon, we'll have fun exploring the surrounding area along a trail that is almost inaccessible to those who don't know the area. On foot, we will reach the cool waterfalls, perfect to beat the heat.
Seven hours later, we'll be back in Playa Jibacoa and finish our tour to Hershey Gardens.
