At the appointed time we'll meet at Pochote Beach and board a boat to go in search of cetaceans in their natural habitat.
Costa Rica's coastline is home to numerous species of marine mammals, making it an ideal location for whale and dolphin watching activities. During the crossing, we'll approach the best areas off the coast of Pochote to spot these aquatic animals.
On board, we'll also tell you all kinds of curiosities about the cetaceans we see. For example, did you know that whales usually choose the Pacific waters of Central America to escape the cold of the northwestern United States? Or that the heat allows the whale calves to grow faster?
