History, culture, and incredible landscapes await us on this excursion to Calbuco Island, in one of the most beautiful archipelagos of the Chilean Lake District.
Calbuco Island Private Excursion
We'll pick you up from your hotel at the indicated time and head towards one of the most spectacular archipelagos of the Chilean Lake District, the highlight being Calbuco Island.
The commune of Calbuco, the capital of the island of the same name, is located in one of the most beautiful places of the Reloncaví Sound. As we'll see, it's an area of great natural beauty surrounded by green islands.
We'll begin our tour of Calbuco observing the tower of Cerro La Picuta, a vestige of the first Spanish settlement. We'll visit the Municipal History Museum to learn more about the past of this town, whose origins date back 400 years. We'll continue our tour in the Plaza de Armas, where we'll see the façade of the Church of San Miguel Arcángel, a temple that houses a carving of this saint brought by the Spaniards in 1602.
Then, we'll continue the route through Calbuco at the viewpoint of Las Terrazas del Amanecer, where we'll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The last stop will be at La Vega cove, where you'll be able to check out the local products of the Lake District on your own.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel, where we'll arrive nine hours after pickup.
