Petrohue Waterfalls & Osorno Volcano Day Trip

At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in central Puerto Montt. We'll set off for the city of Puerto Varas so we can get to the Osorno Volcano, Chile's Mount Fuji.

During our journey along the Ensenada Road, we'll skirt Lake Llanquihue as we look out at views of Osorno in the distance. Beware of Peripillán! Legend has it that this evil spirit resides within the volcano...

We'll then arrive at the Ski and Mountain Centre, located at an altitude of 4,068 feet (1,240 metres). Once we've reached this point, you'll have 1 hour of free time to take in the views of the Osorno Volcano, Calbuco and the Pacific Ocean. If you'd like, there's also a chairlift at this site, which you could take to the Primavera or Glacier station. You can also have a delicious hot chocolate while admiring the snowy landscape.

Once we've reconvened, we'll head to the Petrohue Waterfalls in the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. We'll see this incredible series of waterfalls, which have unusually crystal-clear water that tumbles over a basaltic lava tongue.

If you fancy, you can take a 40-minute boat ride on the nearby Todos los Santos Lake to gaze out at the incredible views of this natural area.

We'll finish our day trip by taking you back to your hotel in Puerto Montt, where we'll arrive at around 4 pm.
