Le Morne Brabant Trekking Tour

At the appointed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel on the Le Morne Brabant peninsula, located in the southwestern tip of Mauritius.

We'll drive by 4x4 to the northeast flank of the mountain that gives its name to the peninsula, where we'll start the trekking route through Le Morne Brabant. On this walk, which will take us between 3 and 4 hours depending on the group's pace, we'll cover a total distance of 5.6 kilometres. However, we'll make several stops to enjoy this beautiful natural environment declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the first part of the route, we will climb up to 200 metres to watch the sunrise over the bay of Le Morne. The tones of the dawn dye this area of Mauritius with bright orange and scarlet tones, an image that will remain etched in your mind forever! After admiring how the day dawns over the Indian Ocean, we'll start climbing to the top of Le Morne Brabant.

The summit of the peninsular mountain is 465 metres high. At the top, we will take a 45 minute break to contemplate the landscape in peace. From this privileged location, we'll see the green valleys that stretch out at its feet and the Benitiers and Fourneau islands, located respectively to the north and south of the Le Morne Brabant peninsula.

Finally, we'll start the descent to the base of the mountain. From there we'll return by 4x4 to the pick-up point, arriving between 9 am and 10 am.
