At 8 am we'll meet at the Parque Principal Salento Quindio, where we'll get into the jeep to go deep into the Cocora Valley. We'll stop at the Acaime trail, a path along the ancient ways used by the indigenous people to move around the valley.
Wandering through the forests and mountains of the Cocora Valley is an unforgettable experience. Throughout the entire hike of Acaime, which is of medium-high difficulty level, we'll talk about the history of the tribe and its chieftain. Also, if we're lucky, we'll be able to spot the exotic birds that fly over the Eje Cafetero of Colombia. Halfway through the trip, we'll regain our strength with a picnic.
During our jeep tour through the mountains, you'll be able to admire the views of the Nevados National Natural Park, as well as the wax palms that can be seen from the southern entrance of Quindio. Flowers, birds, and rivers will embellish the breathtaking scenery of this magical place.
Finally, we'll take you back to the departure point, where we'll arrive at around 3 pm.
