Tour Options
During the booking process, you'll be able to choose between three different options. Please read below the details of each option:
Valletta Guided Tour + Pickup & Co-Cathedral Tour (4.5 Hours)
Once we pick you up from your hotel or the nearest accommodation, we'll head to the oldest part of the Maltese capital for a guided tour of the historic center of Valletta.
Our first stop is in the romantic gardens of the Upper Barrakka Gardens. In this 18th-century park built above the Valletta port, we'll learn about the history of this oasis of calm within the city, conceived as a place for the retired Italian knights. And today, as then, it provides some delightful scenic views of the Great Harbour.
The tour continues visiting the St. John's Co-Cathedral, constructed by the Knights Hospitalier. Those same knights collected a vast collection of art, which can still be seen today, of which the 'Beheading of St. John the Baptist' is one of the most famous examples - a Caravaggio masterpiece.
Having seen the Co-Cathedral, the tour moves on the St. George's Square, to admire the famous Presidential Palace from outside. Then, as a final stop, we'll take in the theatre of Fort Saint Elmo, to enjoy The Malta Experience, an audiovisual spectacle, which brings to life the long and storied history of the Maltese archipelago throughout the centuries.
With the projection over, we'll take you back to the departure point.
Schedule: Monday and Wednesday between 8:30 and 9:30 am
Valletta Guided Tour + Pickup (4.5 Hours)
If you do not wish to visit the Co-Cathedral, you can still join this tour. Instead of visiting the interior of this temple, you'll have 45 minutes of free time to explore the surrounding areas. After that, we'll meet up again to resume our tour.
Schedule: Monday and Wednesday between 8:30 and 9:30 am
Valletta Guided Tour (3.5 Hours)
If you prefer to meet directly at La Valeta, this option is for you. We'll meet at 9:30 am at Hotel Phoenicia to start our tour of the Maltese capital.
We'll continue the same itinerary as the previously described option: we'll visit the Upper Barrakka Gardens, St. George's Square, and the Presidential Palace, and you'll have 45 minutes of free time to explore the surroundings of the Co-Cathedral at your own pace.
Finally, we'll say goodbye at the entrance of the Malta Experience show if the tour is on Monday or the Malta 5D show if the tour is on Wednesday. In both cases, the ticket is not included, but you can purchase it at the ticket booth.
