Unleash your adventurous side abseiling in waterfalls in the Minca River and enjoy a hiking route through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Santa Marta. Once aboard our minibus, we'll start the journey to the mountainous countryside of the Magdalena region to start our full day of adventure.
Before arriving in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, we'll make a stop at a viewpoint to enjoy a fabulous view of the Caribbean Sea.
Once at our destination, we'll have a coffee accompanied by chocolate bread. It's the perfect opportunity to fuel up before starting a hiking route through the rainforest. The walk is called Vereda Montecristo and will take about 45 minutes.
As we explore the Colombian Rainforest, we'll relax to the sound of birds singing and we'll see coffee plantations in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, before arriving at a beautiful waterfall in the Minca River. It's more than 100 metres tall (330 feet)!
Now it's time to go abseiling. We'll listen to basic safety instructions as we get kitted up ready for this activity. Abseiling the waterfalls in the Minca River will last about 15 minutes but it'll depend on your skills and ability. We'll descend about 40 metres (130 feet) down this waterfall to reach a pool where we can take a refreshing dip. It'll be an unforgettable experience!
Additionally, we'll prepare a delicious lunch for you which will include salad, a main dish with a side and a drink. Feeling full and refreshed, we'll start our hike back.
To finish, we'll visit a coffee and cocoa museum and, after 9 hours of activity, we'll head back to Santa Marta and drop you off at your hotel.
