What better way to discover Seattle's most important monuments than in the comfort of a sightseeing bus? Hop on and off at any of the stops to explore the places that interest you the most!

Seattle Sightseeing Bus

After climbing aboard the Seattle Sightseeing Bus at any of the 20 stops spread throughout the metropolis, you'll take your seat for a panoramic tour of the largest city in Washington state. Ready? Throughout the route, you'll get to hop on and off the bus at any of the stops, allowing you to personalise your itinerary and tailor your tour to the monuments and landmarks that interest you the most.

With this bus, which features an audio guide in English over the speakers, you can explore one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the United States. If you prefer, you can also listen to the commentary in Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean by downloading the official app to your cell phone. In addition, the app lets you follow the route on a live map, see the location of the nearest stop, and find out in real time how long until the next bus arrives.

Technology is certainly at home in Seattle: it is the birthplace of Microsoft, whose headquarters are located here, and the futuristic crown on the city is the iconic Space Needle. How tall is the tower? Why was it built? All will be revealed on your sightseeing bus tour!

The route will also give you the opportunity to discover Japan Town and Chinatown, and to take a stroll through the leafy Occidental Park.

Discover the different bus routes and stops and plan your trip via the following link:

Departure Points and Stops

Although you can start the tour at any of its stops, Stop 1 (Space Needle) is located at 398 Broad St (on Broad St, next to the Space Needle loop at the intersection with John St, across from the McDonald’s at KOMO Plaza).

Important: Every Saturday from June 6 through October 31, due to street closures, Stop 18 will be relocated in front of the Via 6 building, at the west corner of 6th Ave and Lenora St (on the right side of the street).

How Does It Work?

Your ticket will be valid for 24 or 48 hours from the time of first use, depending on which option you have selected. So, for example, if you first use a 48-hour ticket on a Monday at 3 pm, it will be valid until Wednesday at 3 pm. During this time, you can hop on and hop off the buses as many times as you'd like, something that will allow you to discover Seattle's iconic and must-see spots.

Although when you book you'll be asked to select a start day, you can start using the service within 3 months from the selected date.

Free Walking Tour with Audio Guide

Your sightseeing bus ticket includes a free walking tour with a downloadable audio guide of the Pike Place Market area.

From the boat, you'll see some of Seattle's most iconic landmarks, such as the spectacular Space Needle, the Smith Tower and the Olympic Sculpture Park. In addition, we'll see the peaks of Cascade Mountain and other mountains in the distance. After an hour-long boat trip, we'll conclude the journey by returning to the departure pier.

48-Hour Sightseeing Bus Ticket + 1-Hour Boat Ride of the Harbor

24-Hour Sightseeing Bus Ticket + 2-Hour Cruise Through the Ballard Locks

You'll enjoy a 24-hour ticket for the Seattle sightseeing bus and a 2-hour boat trip through the Ballard Locks.

For this trip, you must choose one of these two departure points:

  • Pier 54, located in Seattle Harbour, on the shores of Elliot Bay
  • AGC Marina, located next to Lake Union

We'll set sail from the chosen pier and, from there, we'll sail to the Ballard Locks. This set of locks, named after engineer Hiram M. Chittenden, connects Puget Sound with the waters of Lake Washington.

As the strait and the lake have different water levels, the lock chambers allow boats to move up and down different sections. We'll see how they work in real time!

These are the cruise schedules for 2026:

  • Until March 8, 2026: departure time: 12:30 pm. Departure point: Thursdays and Saturdays from Elliott Bay to Lake Union; Fridays and Sundays from Lake Union to Elliott Bay.
  • From March 12 to June 11 and from July 8 to October 25: departure times: 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Departure point: 10:30 am (from Elliott Bay to Lake Union) and 1:30 pm (from Lake Union to Elliott Bay).

48-Hour Sightseeing Bus Ticket + 2-Hour Cruise Through the Ballard Locks

Includes the same benefits as the previous option, but the ticket for the Seattle sightseeing bus is valid for 48 hours.
