At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Semarang and start exploring the enchanting streets of the historic city center. You'll discover the wonderful colonial-style architecture on every corner. We'll stop at the church of Blenduk, where Protestants and Catholics shared an altar for hundreds of years.
We'll go back to Lawang Sewu, known as "the building of a thousand doors". This mansion was built in 1917 to house the headquarters of the Dutch railway company. However, during World War II it functioned as a prison. The locals consider it the most haunted place in all of Indonesia!
You'll then have 1 hour free to eat on your own (not included) and have a well-earned rest. We meet up again after to admire the magnificent Chinese temple Sam Poo Kong. We'll stroll through its idyllic gardens and stop to admire its striking red roofs.
Then, we'll take a 15-minute drive to the charming neighborhood of Kampung Pelangi. The inhabitants here decided to paint all the houses in bright colors in response to the area's reputation for being 'dirty'. That's why it's now known as the "rainbow village".
Finally, we'll accompany you to your chosen finish point where our brilliant adventure concludes between 6 pm and 8 pm.
