Tour Details

At the appointed time, we’ll meet at your preferred meeting point in Seoul. First, we’ll head to Jogyesa Temple, one of the country’s most important Buddhist temples.

Located right in the heart of Seoul, this prominent temple, founded in 1935, is one of the most revered sites for Korean Buddhists. Do you know why it’s decorated with an ancient white pine tree? We’ll reveal the secret to you! 

Next, we’ll head to Gyeongbokgung Palace, where we’ll witness a unique spectacle: the changing of the guard. This ritual differs greatly from those in other countries around the world, as the display of music and color performed in the South Korean capital is truly special.

Once we’ve watched the changing of the guard, we’ll enter Gyeongbok Palace, a place that holds thousands of years of history and has managed to survive the major turbulent events the country has endured.

After this visit, we’ll make a stop so you can have lunch at a nearby restaurant. With our batteries recharged, we’ll continue the tour of Seoul by heading to the National Folk Museum of Korea, located very close to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, where many replicas showcasing Korean traditions, as well as some of the most important monuments in its history, are on display.

Our next stop will be the Blue House, the presidential residence and the executive office of the leaders of South Korea. We'll review the history of this site, admiring the eye-catching blue tiles of its traditional roof.

To wrap up, we'll reach the Ginseng Center, a place dedicated to the history and culture of Seoul's kinseng where you can discover the medicinal properties of this root. Finally, wwe’ll head to Seoul City Hall or Myeongdong, where we’ll say goodbye 4 hours later. 

8-Hour Tour

If you’d like a more comprehensive tour of Seoul, you can choose the 8-hour tour. In this case, after visiting the Ginseng Center, we’ll head to the art and crafts markets of Insadong, located in a fascinating neighborhood where you can find curious souvenirs thanks to the modern galleries and tea shops.

To learn more about Korean culture, we'll head to the N Seoul Tower​ so you can climb up the Namsan Cable Car, a renowned Korean monument that offers one of the best views of the mountain of Namsan and the center of Seoul from a height of over 1968 ft (600 m).

Afterward, we'll reach the shopping street of Myeongdong, and lastly, we'll visit the largest traditional market in Korea, the market of Namdaemun. You won’t be able to resist buying something in its quirky shops!

We'll finish our tour 8 hours later in the City Hall area or in the Myeongdong area.

• Exit 9 of Myeongdong Station: at 8:50 am (62-10 Chungmuro 2(i)-ga, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea)
• Exit 6 of City Hall Station: at 9 am (Taepyeongno 2(i)-ga, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea).

Important Info

On Tuesdays, instead of visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace and the National Folk Museum, we will visit Changdeokgung Palace and the Hanok Village.
