Spend a day in no man's land on this once-in-a-lifetime tour to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). It's sure to make an impression!
DMZ Korea Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Seoul and we'll head towards the north of the country in an air-conditioned bus. Soon we'll reach the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a 124-mile long (200 km), 2.5-mile (4 km) wide buffer zone which separates North Korea and Soth Korea.
Once there, we'll explore the most emblematic features. Are you ready to discover one of the most formidable places in the world? We'll start by walking along Freedom Road, which runs alongside the banks of the Imjin River until Imjingak Park, where we'll see some of the artillery used during the Korean War.
Next, we'll see the Unification Bridge, built in 1998 as a symbol of the desire for unity between North and South Korea. Not only that, but we'll also visit an exhibition room in the DMZ where we'll see documents and artefacts regarding the military conflict.
Afterwards, we'll enter the infiltration tunnel, dug underneath the border between the two nations. Upon leaving the tunnel, we'll head to the Dora Observatory where we'll use telescopes to see the North Korean town of Kijongdong. Interestingly, this town is known by North Koreans as "Peace Village", but it is commonly referred to as "Propaganda Village", particularly by South Koreans and Western media.
As we make our way back to Seoul, we'll make a stop at the Paju shopping outlet. With 160 shops, you're sure to find a bargain here.
If you would prefer to visit only the Joint Security area, or both the DMZ and the JSA - try our Korea JSA Tour. However, please bear in mind that the activity is sometimes not available for security reasons.
- You must bring your passport to be able to enter the DMZ.
