Explore the surroundings of Silvia in the most exclusive way possible with one of our private excursions from Silvia. We'll see the waterfalls & hot springs of Puracé National Park and climb to the top of one of its most famous volcanoes.
When booking, you can choose between two different private excursions. Both include pickup at your hotel in Silvia and return transfer:
At 6:40 am we'll head to the Puracé National Park, a place protected by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve where we'll enjoy incredible landscapes.
First, we'll go to a viewpoint to spot the Andean condor. We'll try to locate these birds characteristic of the high Andes mountains and tell you many curiosities about this endangered species.
The rest of the day will be dedicated to learning about the flora of the area and visiting different places of interest such as the Andulbio lagoon and the wishing well. We'll also see the waterfall of the Bedón river, with a 6-meter high cascade, and we'll visit the hot springs of San Juan. Finally, we'll leave you an hour free for lunch before returning to Silvia, where we'll arrive at 6 pm.
To start the hiking route to the Puracé volcano we'll pick you up at 5 am. After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive at this emblematic Colombian volcano and have a hot drink before starting on our way up.
Over the course of five hours, we'll hike along volcanic slopes until we reach the summit, located at 4,673 meters above sea level. The views of the crater are amazing! On the hiking route, we'll also learn some really interesting facts about the eruptions of Puracé and its flora and fauna. After the excursion, you'll even be able to relax in the hot springs.
Finally, we'll leave you an hour free for lunch and we'll arrive back in Silvia at 6 pm.
