Enjoy a traditional activity in Lapland with this ice fishing experience. You'll explore the snowy forests of Sirkka and take in the natural beauty of Finland.
Want to learn how to ice fish? We'll pick you up at your hotel in Sirkka at 10:30 am and travel in a comfortable minibus to the outskirts of this Finnish town.
Crossing through snowy forests, we'll arrive at a frozen lake, where we'll learn the ins and outs of this Lappish tradition. We'll learn how to drill a hole in the ice of the lake and then wait patiently for a fish to take the bait.
In the meantime, we'll enjoy the complete silence and tranquility of the Lappish winter forests - a truly relaxing experience! To complete the excursion, we'll warm up by a campfire and satiate our appetite with a hot drink and cookies. If we're lucky, we'll even be able to eat the fish we catch!
The activity will finish with our return to the starting point at approximately 1 pm.
The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off if you're staying within 1 to 10 ( up to 6.2 miles) kilometres from the following address: Hiihtäjänkuja, 10. If you are within 1 kilometre (0.62 miles), we will meet you directly there.
