This historic French region is home to beautiful wine villages. Discover its famous vineyards and traditional houses along the Alsace Wine Route from Strasbourg.
The Alsace Wine Route
At 9 am we'll leave from the Parc de l'Etoile bus station in Strasbourg and start our route through some of the most beautiful wine villages in the Alsace, on board a comfortable sightseeing bus.
Our first stop we'll be the charming town of Bergheim, whose typical Alsatian houses seem to have been taken from a fairytale. The route will continue on to the picturesque village of Ribeauvillé, where we'll learn about the history of the ancient manor belonging to the Lords of Ribeaupierre.
Following the route along the extensive vineyards of the Alsace, we'll reach Hunawihr. The village is well known in the area for its wine-growers' houses, and most of its wealth comes from its wine production. There is also a popular legend in the village that the famous Sainte Hune fountain would spout wine. Then, we'll go to the charming village of Riquewihr, where you'll have one hour of free time to have lunch.
Afterwards, we'll visit two of the most photogenic villages in Alsace: Kaysersberg and Eguisheim. The next stop will be at the prestigious Belvédère Cattin winery. If you want to buy wine, this is the ideal place! From there we'll also have an extraordinary view of the Alsace vineyard landscape and the Black Forest.
Finally, we'll return to Strasbourg, and at Parc de l'Etoile at 8 pm.
