As we embark on our journey, you can catch a few more moments of rest during the 3-hour ride to our destination. Upon arrival, we'll transition to a jeep for an exciting adventure, bringing us closer to the majestic Mount Bromo.
Our trusty jeep is the ideal mode of transport to skillfully navigate the rough terrain and potholes on the road leading to Mount Bromo. While a bit bumpy at times, it's sure to be a thrilling ride! Fully awake, we'll finally arrive at the best spot on the island to see the sun come over the horizon and start the day. Get your cameras ready to capture this magical moment, one of the most beautiful sunrises we'll find in Indonesia.
Taking advantage of the area with the perfect start to the day and the sun illuminating the surrounding natural beauty, we'll traverse immense seas of sand deposited due to a previous eruption from Mount Bromo to reach the summit. From the border of this crater, we'll be treated to one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Batok. Here, at the highest point in Java, we'll also see Mount Semeru, and in the distance, a Hindu temple, a poignant reflection of the historical legacy of the Majapahit Kingdom. If you're up for it, you can also head out for an optional horseback ride around the area.
To rejuvenate ourselves after a fulfilling morning, we'll stop to enjoy breakfast at one of the local restaurants. With newfound energy, we'll head to our next stop of the day: the Madakaripura waterfalls. These falls cascade down over the lush jungle greenery from an impressive 200 meters (656 feet).
After an enthralling 15 to 17 hours of expedition, we'll bring our day to a close, dropping you off at your hotel.
