Capture the incredible Arctic landscapes on this tour of the Lofoten Islands. You'll enjoy a unique experience in one of Norway's most beautiful places.
Tour Details
We’ll meet at Sjømannsgata 5 in Svolvær and set off by road for the Lofoten Islands, where we’ll visit the most iconic sites of this spectacular Norwegian archipelago. Are you ready to head north of the Arctic Circle?
These islands are one of Norway’s lesser-known destinations, yet they offer spectacular beauty. Despite their location, the waters of the Gulf temper the cold Arctic climate, offering temperatures that exceed 20 °C (68 °F) in the summer.
Lofoten offers an endless array of unique sights: lush, towering mountains rising from the Norwegian Sea, crystal-clear waters, white-sand beaches, and charming little fishing villages. What more could you ask for?
We’ll enjoy the scenery of towns like Hamnøy, one of the oldest and most photographed in the Lofoten Islands; Henningsvær, known worldwide as the “Venice of the North”; Nusfjord, one of the best-preserved fishing villages in the area; and Å i Lofoten, the most famous fishing village in the southern part of the archipelago.
We’ll also visit what many consider to be Norway’s most beautiful village: Reine. Here, we’ll give you 45 minutes of free time to grab a bite to eat at a restaurant.
This tour will also take us to the fine-sand beaches of Haukland and Ramberg. Be sure to bring your camera with plenty of storage space, you’ll want to photograph every fisherman’s cabin, every harbor, and every mountain!
To top off the tour, we’ll stop at the Fredvang Bridges. Did you know they’ve become one of the most iconic scenic and engineering landmarks in the Lofoten Islands? We couldn’t leave them off the itinerary!
Finally, after a total of 8 to 9 hours on the road, we’ll be back in Svolvær with our cameras full of stunning photos and our memories filled with unforgettable moments.
