Sydney Opera House Tour
At the appointed time we'll meet at the Sydney Opera House entrance to begin the guided tour inside this iconic Australian building, founded in 1972.
We'll spend an hour touring the elegant rooms while learning about its architecture - did you know it was built with pre-fabricated shell tiles? The enclosure covers an area of almost two hectares and the structure rests on 580 pillars.
You'll see the concert halls, where everything from operas to ballet performances have been performed. The visit will even give us the opportunity to see the largest instrument in the world: an organ with more than 10,000 pipes.
We'll also explain the importance of the Sydney Opera House in relation to the rest of the world's theatres. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was on the verge of becoming one of the new seven wonders of the world.
