At the indicated time, we'll meet at Taupo Harbour, where we'll board a sailing boat to cruise on Lake Taupo and see the famous Maori rock carvings! Are you ready to experience Maori culture in a different way? Let's go!
We'll sail across the largest lake in New Zealand until we reach Mine Bay, where we'll find some huge rock carvings dating back to the 1970s. You'll get to see up close the 14-meter-high rock carving of Ngātoro-i-rangi, a Māori navigator who led the tribes to Lake Taupo. Plus, we'll tell you interesting facts about the natural environment surrounding Lake Taupo, and, if the weather is pleasant, you could take a dip here.
To top it all off, you can enjoy a drink on board while you relax on the deck of the boat and admire the fascinating views of Taupo. It'll be an unforgettable experience!
Finally, we'll return to the starting point and end the boat ride after a 2.5-hour tour.
