At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel to begin our excursion to Ojojona, located less than an hour away from the capital city of Tegucigalpa.
Upon reaching Ojojona, a quaint mining town renowned for its clay-tiled houses, we'll embark on a guided tour through its charming streets. Did you know that the locals here have a strong tradition of leather craftsmanship? You'll be greeted by the distinct aroma of leather as we explore every corner of this fascinating place.
During our tour, we'll delve into the town's history spanning over 400 years, learn about the economic significance of black clay, and marvel at the architectural beauty of the San Juan Bautista Church.
Following the tour, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to have lunch on your own at one of the local restaurants in Ojojona. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in the flavors of the region's typical gastronomy!
With our energy replenished, we'll continue our excursion towards the Cerro de Hula wind farm, located in the municipality of Santa Ana. Finally, we'll make our way back to Tegucigalpa, arriving at 4 pm.
