Step into some of the most fascinating biblical scenes from the life of Jesus on this tour which visits his birthplace and the oldest city in the world.
Bethlehem and Jericho Day Trip
At around 7 am we will collect you from your chosen meeting point in Tel Aviv before driving to the city of Bethlehem.
Our first stop is the Tomb of the matriarch Rachel to hear about its history and why it has become a sacred place for Judaism. From here, we then head to Manger Square, the beating heart of Bethlehem.
This large space is also home to the Church of the Nativity, where we will encounter the grotto where Jesus was born. The announcement of his birth took place in the Shepherds' Field Chapel, where we conclude our visit to Bethlehem before heading to the Judaean Desert.
In the desert, we will visit the Inn of the Good Samaritan to remember one of the best-known parables of Jesus. Later, we will take the cable car (tickets not included) to the summit of the Mount of Temptation. Its summit is a breath-taking viewpoint over Jericho, thought to be the oldest inhabited city in the world. Before returning to Tel Aviv, we will visit the sycamore tree of Zacchaeus, a place which features in the Bible’s description of Jesus’ arrival to Jericho.
The trip finishes at the end of the afternoon when we arrive back at your chosen meeting point in Tel Aviv.
