On this visit to the Finca Testeina of the Vega de Yuco winery, we'll discover the essence of Lanzarote's wines while touring the vineyards and the historic house. In addition, we'll taste two organic wines and the best artisan chocolates of the island.
Activity Details
We'll meet at the entrance of Finca Testeina at the indicated time. Once there, we'll enter this imposing historic house located in the heart of the protected landscape of La Geria and the Natural Park of Los Volcanes.
We'll start the visit with an interesting walk through the vineyard, at the foot of the Testeina Volcano, where we'll learn about the history of vine cultivation in Lanzarote, its varieties and characteristics.
We'll also talk about the history of the Finca Testeina of the Vega de Yuco winery, which has been producing wines with the Denomination of Origin Vinos de Lanzarote since its foundation in 1997. What kind of wines do they produce? How are the vineyards cultivated on the island? We'll tell you all about it!
After learning all about the Malvasía Volcánica and Listán Negro grapes, we'll taste two organic wines as we admire the curious landscape of vineyards that surrounds us. Do you know how the volcanic eruptions of Timanfaya influenced these lands?
To end the experience, we'll have a commented tasting of organic wines, paired with chocolate bonbons, made by an artisan bakery on the island, all this surrounded by the volcano of Testeina and the Natural Park of Los Volcanes!
We'll finish the guided tour 1.5 hours later.

We'll take a beautiful sunset walk through the vineyard, and learn about and history of wine cultivation in Lanzarote. We'll learn about its varieties and discover how the art of turning the fruit into wine has worked since the 19th century. The colors of the sunset will leave you speechless!
