On this day trip to Karaburun and Sazan Island, you'll enjoy the Adriatic Sea breeze and the crystalline waters of Albania's southwestern coast. We'll visit a marine park and a cave!
We'll meet at the Kolegji Universitar Logos at the designated time and leave Tirana behind to make our way to the Vlorë coast. It'll be a scenic journey where you'll be able to appreciate Albania's natural beauty!
Once we arrive at Vlorë, our first stop will include a coffee and breakfast to energise before we begin our day in the idyllic Albanian Riviera. We'll then head over to the port, where we'll board a boat that will take us to the Peninsula of Karaburun.
After 30 minutes of sailing across the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea, we'll reach the Karaburun Marine National Park. We'll enjoy beautiful beaches with turquoise waters that you'll be able to swim in and discover this area's marine ecosystem. Karaburun's wild cliffs will impress you!
We'll then continue our journey towards Sazan. Did you know that this island was a naval base during the Second World War? Here, we'll see the abandoned military building and the old bunkers. We'll also visit the Haxhi Allia Cave, a grotto with spectacular limestone formations.
After exploring, we'll return to Karaburun where you can relax on its pristine beaches. Here, you'll have free time to grab yourself a bite to eat and enjoy the unique flavours of Albanian cuisine.
At the end of the day, we'll say goodbye to Karaburun and Sazan to return to our starting point in Tirana, where we'll arrive after this 12-hour day trip.
