Join us for a day trip into the natural beauty of the Albanian Alps, including Koman Lake and the Shala River. It’ll be a day surrounded by turquoise waters.
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Tirana and set off on this day trip to Koman Lake. We’ll enjoy a journey of around 4 hours through picturesque rural landscapes.
Once at our destination, we’ll board a traditional boat for a 1-hour cruise through landscapes that resemble Nordic fjords. You’ll be amazed by the rugged mountains and lush vegetation surrounding the emerald-colored waters of the lake.
Afterward, we’ll stop on the banks of the Shala River, a river known for its unspoiled beauty. Here, you’ll have approximately 3 hours of free time to swim in its turquoise waters, relax by the shore, or simply enjoy the peaceful Albanian countryside.
If you’re feeling adventurous, we can take a guided 45-minute hike to a panoramic viewpoint. From there, you’ll admire the Shala River canyon from above, an ideal spot for photos. The choice is yours!
Finally, we’ll get back on the boat to cross the lake toward the dam, where the vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Tirana. We’ll say goodbye at the starting point 14-16 hours later.
Keep in mind that some streets in Tirana have restrictions and don’t allow access for minibuses or buses. If your hotel is located on one of these streets, we’ll contact you after booking to let you know an alternative meeting point close to your accommodation. You may need to walk between 5 and 10 minutes from your location.
