At the indicated time we'll meet at Via Roma 18 to start this food tour of Trapani. Accompanied by a local guide, we'll walk through the charming streets of the charming Sicilian town's historic centre discovering its anecdotes, flavours and unique aromas. Are you hungry?
This walk will take us through 6 carefully selected gastronomic stops, where you can taste the specialities that have been handed down for generations. We'll start with caponata, an exquisite mixture of aubergines, tomatoes and olives that perfectly combines the essence of Sicilian cuisine.
Our next dish will be panelle, delicious chickpea croquettes. Did you know that it's one of the most famous fried dishes in Trapani? And we can't forget busiate con pesto alla Trapanese, a fresh pasta with a sauce made of basil, tomatoes and almonds. Pure delight!
We'll also taste some couscous, a legacy of the Arab influence in the region, and delight our senses with pizza rianata, a local variant that will surprise you with its flavour.
