Helicopter Pilot Course
At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia and take you to the helicopter base, where you’ll begin a course that allows you to fly over the stunning landscapes of Tierra del Fuego while piloting the aircraft.
Upon arrival, an experienced pilot will welcome you and, for 1 hour, teach you the basic fundamentals of flight. You’ll also carry out a complete aircraft inspection to understand the controls. Everything you need before boarding the Robinson R44 helicopter that you’ll control yourself. Are you ready for takeoff?
Once on board the helicopter, you’ll take control of the aircraft yourself. You’ll feel the power of the engine, the response of the wind, and the unmatched sensation of rising above the breathtaking landscapes of the End of the World.
Throughout the activity, you’ll be accompanied by the pilot, who’ll supervise every movement and ensure your confidence and safety. The 30 minute flight will give you the opportunity to learn the helicopter’s maneuvers, providing a smooth and precise flying experience.
From the helicopter, you’ll admire the valleys, lakes, and mountains of Patagonia. You’ll also enjoy unique views of the Beagle Channel and Mount Olivia. Could there be a better way to fulfill a dream?
Finally, it’ll be time to land, where you’ll once again demonstrate your skills at the controls of the helicopter. At the end, we’ll take you back to your hotel, where we’ll say our goodbyes 3 hours after pickup.
Important Info
- The maximum permitted weight to participate in the helicopter pilot course is 125 kg (276 lb) per person.
- Participation isn’t allowed under the influence of alcohol or medication that affects coordination.
- The activity is subject to weather conditions. In case of bad weather, it’ll be rescheduled for another available date at no additional cost.
