All aboard the End of the World Train, the world's southernmost railway! Travel back in time as you discover the fascinating beauty of the Tierra del Fuego National Park.

End of the World Train to Tierra del Fuego

After being picked up from your hotel, you'll be taken to the picturesque End of the World Train Station located 20 minutes from Ushuaia.

The Southern Fuegian Railway is known as the End of the World Train for being the southernmost railway on Earth. Climb aboard one of its vintage carriages, pulled by classic steam locomotives, and set off on the five mile (8 km) journey to the end of the world. This tour follows the former route taken by the inmates of Ushuaia prison to Mount Susana, where they would obtain different materials for the construction works they carried out.

The train will make a 15 minute stop at the Macarena Waterfall Station. From a viewpoint here, you can enjoy spectacular vistas over the Pipo River Valley and the waterfall that gives the station its name. There is also a reconstruction of a Yamana village that can be visited here: the former settlement of a group of indigenous peoples who lived in Ushuaia for thousands of years. After this stop, the train will continue to the Tierra del Fuego National Park.

You'll visit some of the National Park's natural wonders, including the Green and Black Lagoons, which owe their unusual colours to the sediments in their waters left by glacial erosion. Discover the scenery surrounding the Lapataia and Ensenada Zaratiegui Bays, two of the most recognisable places on the Argentinian side of the Beagle Channel.

From the Tierra del Fuego National Park, you'll return to your hotel in Ushuaia by bus.
