Snorkel Details
Interested in exploring the depths of the Costa Rican Pacific? If that's the case, we'll meet at the designated time at Bahía's Avenida Principal in Uvita. From here, we'll head to Uvita Beach, in the Ballena Marine National Park.
After a short introduction, we'll hop on board a boat that will take us to the Caño Island. For approximately 1.5 hours, we'll sail to Caño Island, an impressive refuge with 19 coral species, and once we arrive, we'll gear up with snorkeling equipment.
Once ready, we'll do two 40-minute dives to admire the underwater landscapes of tropical fish and coral gardens. If you're lucky, maybe you'll spot some sea turtles. Did you know that the visibility in this marine spot is up to 65.61 feet (20 meters)? It's the perfect place for this activity!
Afterward, we'll sail toward the calm San Josecito Beach, where we'll disembark to enjoy a mouth-watering lunch with views of the bay. After relaxing and filling our bellies, we'll begin our journey back sailing along Drake Bay. We'll pass Ventanas Beach and Violin Island, next to the Sierpe River. You'll be amazed by this scenery!
Finally, we'll reach the initial starting point, where we'll wrap up this 6 to 8-hour adventure.
