Feel a rush of adrenaline by rafting in the rapids of the Hutt River. A perfect activity to enjoy the nature of Wellington!
Description
At the time of booking, you can choose between two options. Both start at 3/9 Jupiter Grove, including rafting equipment, an English-speaking instructor and have a duration of 2 hours. Below, you can see the details of each option:
Rafting for beginners
This option is perfect if you want to raft for the first time or, on the other hand, if you've done rafting before but prefer less extreme adventures. During this duckie tour, which is a mix of a raft, a kayak and a Canadian canoe, we'll explore the lower section of the Te Awa Kairangi where, besides taking on the rapids of the Hutt River, we'll enjoy incredible views of the landscapes of this area of Wellington.
Advanced rafting
If you love thrills and you've already gone rafting before, this is your ideal option. During the activity, we'll raft level 2 and 3 rapids along a 10-kilometre stretch of the Hutt River. The route will take us along 60 rapids that pass by waterfalls, ancient forests and crystal-clear waters that'll invite you to take a swim. It'll be a lot of fun!
