Wrocław Boat Tour
Cruise on the Oder River
At the scheduled time, we’ll set sail from the pier on Bulwar Xawerego Dunikowskiego Street to begin this boat tour on the Oder River. During the 45-minute cruise, you’ll see Wrocław from a unique perspective. The best part? You’ll have an audio guide in English, so you don’t miss a single detail.
The cruise will take you past Wrocław’s Old Town and around five islands, passing under some of the city’s most iconic bridges along the way. You’ll see Hala Targowa, a modernist market hall from the early 20th century, whose structure combines commercial functionality with advanced architectural solutions for its time.
Just when you least expect it, the University of Wrocław will come into view, one of the most outstanding Baroque complexes in this Polish city. Did you know that this building was one of the symbols of the intellectual splendor of historic Silesia?
We’ll continue the cruise alongside Słodowa Island, now one of the most popular leisure spots, and pass through the extremely narrow Klara Passage, one of the most unique points along the river route.
Shortly afterward, we’ll arrive at Ostrów Tumski, the original heart of Wrocław. On this island stands St. John the Baptist Cathedral, an imposing Gothic cathedral rebuilt after suffering severe damage during World War II.
The route will continue under the Grunwaldzki Bridge, a steel engineering marvel inaugurated in 1910, and past houseboats, riverside boulevards, and buildings such as the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
Before returning to the starting point, we’ll pass by the Polinka area, home to an urban cable car used by the university, and by Centennial Hall, a modernist masterpiece designated a World Heritage Site.
