I’m a translator and linguist who loves languages, offline travel, and having breakfast twice (sometimes even pasta). I was born in Albuquerque and grew up between New Mexico and Minnesota, but I’ve made Madrid and the wider world my home. I’ve visited 36 countries, travel by van whenever I can, and firmly believe in the power of a good free tour to truly understand a city. I spent two years as English Team Manager at Civitatis, now I write and translate travel experiences while working as a development cooperation professional in the Dominican Republic. I aim to keep always learning, always exploring.

Experience

I’ve worked at Civitatis since 2022. I spent two years as English Team Manager, coordinating the team, supervising content, and ensuring editorial consistency and quality for the English-speaking market. I now collaborate part-time as a writer and translator, working on SEO and the localization of travel experiences. I’ve also worked in social media management and founded an online English school during the pandemic. Alongside this, I’ve contributed as a translator to international cooperation projects in the Caribbean.

Education

  • BA in Translation, Interpreting and Applied Languages, with a focus on linguistics and intercultural communication.
  • Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Public Policy Management.
  • Currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
