Enjoy spectacular natural wonders on this day trip to the Boti Waterfall and Aburi Botanical Garden visit from Acra! Two sites you can't miss in Ghana.
Description
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Acra and kick off our exciting day trip to the Northern interior of Ghana.
Our first stop will be the fantastic Boti waterfalls. These twin waterfalls, born of the Pawnpawn River, are known to the locals as the male and female waterfalls. During the rainy season, when the waters rise, both falls converge in what locals call the "mating ceremony" to create a stunning rainbow over the falls. A natural wonder to behold!
As we move away from the waterfalls, we'll take a short pause at Umbrella Rock. Here, we'll encounter an intriguing rock formation resembling an umbrella, offering us awe-inspiring panoramic views of the vast landscape.
From here, we'll head towards the Aburi Botanical Gardens. In this immense floral space, boasting 65 hectares (160 acres) of land, we'll walk through the grounds full of a wide-ranging variety of plants and trees, all native to the African continent. We'll make several stops along our tour to point out significant plants and trees, some of which are over 100 years old!
Finishing our tour of the botanical gardens, you'll have a moment to enjoy lunch at any of the local restaurants in the area. After lunch, we'll finally begin our return to Acra, dropping you off at your hotel about 10 hours later.
