At the indicated time, we'll meet at the access steps to the historical center of Agropoli that lead to the majestic Angio-Aragonese castle.
First up, we'll cross the Porta Bizantina, one of the town's main entrances that date back to medieval times. Crossing the gate, we'll immerse ourselves in the historical atmosphere of Agropoli Vecchia, walking along the cobble-stoned streets lined with stone houses.
Next, we'll continue our tour by visiting the Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli, a small jewel of sacred architecture dating back to the 16th century. Known for its simple but creative facade, its frescoed interior is sure to captivate you. Afterward, we'll wander along the narrow and winding streets of the village, where you can get a feel for the authentic atmosphere of a typical Cilento village.
Then, we'll head to the Aragonese Castle, to admire its exterior. This majestic 8th-century fortress dominates the village from the top of the promontory. We'll admire its towers and learn about the history and legends linked to this place. Lastly, we'll descend to a viewpoint, from where we'll enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and the cliffs.
