The day trip will begin at the designated time from Via M. Viterbo. Ready to pedal from Alberobello to the beautiful town of Locorotondo? Hop on your bike and let's go!
First, we'll provide a short introduction before leaving Alberobello behind. Then, we'll start to pedal for a total of 12.4 miles (20 kilometers) surrounded by a typical Mediterranean landscape of countryside paths surrounded by old stone houses and vineyards.
After a route of about 45 minutes, we'll reach Locorotondo, considered one of the prettiest towns in Apulia. Here, we'll stop at a traditional bakery to try its famous freshly baked focaccia, served with a glass of wine.
Before starting our return journey, we'll stop at the pastry shop of signora María, where we'll enjoy exquisite traditional sweets from the region. You'll surely rest up and discover the most authentic flavors of southern Italy.
From here, we'll take the path back to Alberobello, this time pedaling on the shorter route, which takes approximately 20 minutes. We'll conclude this day trip at the initial starting point, where we'll arrive after a total of 3 hours.
