Allow yourself to be seduced by "The Dutch Venice" with this excursion to the pastoral region of Giethoorn, where you'll pass through its famous canals in a delightful boat trip.

Giethoorn Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll depart from the center of Amsterdam towards the north of Holland. After a 2-hour bus ride, we'll arrive at the picturesque town of Giethoorn: a municipality that borders the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, one of the Netherlands' most beautiful natural areas.

Having arrived at the outskirts of the town, we'll leave the bus to enjoy a trip by boat through the canals of Giethoorn. This means of transport is the only way to access the centre of the town, and during the crossing you'll have the opportunity to admire typical Dutch houses and the wooden bridges which allow you to cross from one canal bank to the other.

On our tour, we'll also learn about the history of Giethoorn, where the absence of motor vehicles makes this beautiful place the "Dutch Venice". After the boat trip, you'll have free time to explore the town at your own pace. You can enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the charming cafés or restaurants, sample a selection of cheeses at the famous Willig Cheese Shop, or simply stroll along the magical canals, admiring the numerous bridges that adorn the landscape.

After eating, we'll get back on the bus to return to Amsterdam, where we'll arrive after about 7.5 hours in total.
