Prepare for an adventure and climb the impressive landmark in southern Peru with this Misti Volcano 2 Day Trip from Arequipa. Enjoy a route full of beautiful natural landscapes at over 5800 metres tall.
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Arequipa between 7:30 and 8 am and travel in a 4x4 vehicle to the Misti volcano along the Chiguata route. After a two-hour drive, we'll reach 3300 metres (10800 feet). Are you ready for the adventure?
Once there, we'll start the ascent on foot by the slope of the volcano. As we walk we'll admire the incredible views until we reach the desired base camp, located at 4800 metres (15700 feet).
After six hours of walking, we'll have dinner and rest at the campsite until the next day.
After an early morning wake up call, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast at the camp to get our strength back. We're going to need it! Then, we'll start the ascent to the top of the Misti volcano.
We'll walk to reach 5825 metres (19110 feet). When we reach our goal, you'll have one hour of free time to take beautiful pictures of the views from the crater of the volcano. You'll be the envy of your family and friends!
Finally, we'll start the descent to 3300 metres of altitude, where the 4x4 vehicle will be waiting for us to take us back to Arequipa. Arrival at your hotels is scheduled for 2 pm.
This activity includes 1 night accommodation with breakfast at the Nido de Aguilas base camp.
You must take into account that this activity requires a good physical condition due to the difficulty of the terrain.
Pick-up is included in the hotels located within a radius of 1 kilometre from the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa. If your hotel is outside this area, you'll have to go to the meeting point in the Plaza de Armas at the indicated time.
