Unleash your inner chef in this cooking class in Baku, where you'll prepare traditional dishes such as plov, dolma, and dogva. In addition, it will be a small-group activity.
Cooking Class Details
On the day of the activity, we’ll meet at 1 Fikret Amirov Street to kick off an experience in Baku that will delight your palate. Are you ready for an Azerbaijani cooking class?
This workshop will be held in a small group of 12 people, so you’ll learn in detail the techniques and secrets behind the most classic recipes of Azerbaijani cuisine. To start, we’ll familiarize ourselves with the ingredients and basic principles of Azerbaijani cooking, the perfect way to learn about the local culture and the importance of food in the country.
Once we’re ready, we’ll roll up our sleeves and work alongside the chef to prepare some of Azerbaijan’s most traditional dishes, such as plov, a basmati rice dish flavored with saffron that serves as a side dish for various meats.
We’ll also learn to cook traditional dolmas, dovga (a soup made with plain yogurt and herbs), qutabs (a thin dough similar to crepes), and çoban salatasi salad. To accompany all these delicacies, we’ll prepare various drinks. Once everything is cooked, we’ll sit down at the table and enjoy this feast with the rest of the group.
Finally, four hours later, we’ll say our goodbyes and wrap up the cooking class.
