Nazism and the German History Tour
Discover all the secrets of Bariloche's past, from its foundation by German immigrants through to its links with Nazi Germany when you take this Nazism and the German History Tour.
Nazism and the German History Tour
Get ready to discover the German origins of Bariloche. We'll meet at the indicated time on Libertad Street, where the pretty Bariloche Civic Center square is located.
After taking some pictures of the picturesque Lake Nahuel Huapi, we will stroll around the historic town centre to discover the earliest traces of German immigration in the city. Along the way, we will pass the Club Andino, and hear all about the fundamental role it held during the inter-war period.
Little by little, we will immerse ourselves in the German cultural origins of the city. We will discover stories of immigrants, the Nazi legacy, and what role Argentina played during the Second Great War. You will also hear how one of the biggest criminals of Hitler's Germany took refuge in Bariloche.
Our tour finally ends at 8:30 pm in the historic city centre, and we'll be more than happy to recommend some places where you can continue your day with a delicious regional beer.
