Rafting in the River Manso

  • English and Spanish
  • 8 hours

Explore the natural beauty of Patagonia as you go rafting in the River Manso. An adrenaline-fueled experience in a breathtaking setting!

Rafting in the River Manso

We'll pick you up from number 398 on Avenida San Martín, in the centre of San Carlos de Bariloche, and from there we'll travel around 37 miles (60 km) to Lake Steffen.

After some brief safety instructions, we'll get all the equipment necessary to go rafting in the River Manso and we'll hit the water. We'll paddle along the river course for 10 miles (17 km), which will take around 1 hour. During this time, you'll be able to enjoy unique scenery with forests full of native species with endemic bird species flying above.

We'll stop at a beach to replenish our energy with lunch, including different types of bread, cold meats, fruit, vegetables and juices. After eating, we'll continue our rafting experience, passing through the Uvasal, Banda de Billar, Diente de Hipopótamo, Montaña Rusa and Roca Magnética rapids! We hope you like adventure! In the summer months, we'll also take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, which reach up to 64ºF (18ºC).

Our route will continue next to the confluence with the River Villegas, and we'll eventually reach our base camp. Here, you'll be welcomed with a delicious snack, including pancakes, sweets, tea and coffee. With our energy replenished after our thrill-seeking adventure, we'll finally return to Bariloche.
