Located on the hill of San Cristobal, Belmonte Castle is one of the most important fortresses of the province of Cuenca.
This ticket to Belmonte Castle will allow you to download an audio guide in English on your cell phone. Its commentary will guide you through the different parts of this imposing bastion of the 15th century.
Through the audio guide, you'll learn about the history of Belmonte Castle. In the 19th century, this bastion regained all its splendor thanks to the reforms promoted by Eugénie de Montijo, heiress of the fortress and wife of Emperor Napoleon III of France.
With your ticket, you'll be able to visit both the Patio de Armas and the walled enclosure, where the parapet and the towers stand out. If you wish, you'll even have the opportunity to climb one of these watchtowers to enjoy magnificent panoramic views.
The ticket also includes access to the outbuildings of Belmonte Castle. These include the empress' bedroom, the dais, and the armory room. In the latter, you'll admire an outstanding collection of medieval armor.

- February 28 - April 23: Tuesday - Friday, 10 am - 2 pm. Saturdays & Sundays, 10 am - 2 pm and 4 pm - 7 pm
- April 25 - September 24: Tuesday - Friday, 10 am - 2 pm. Saturdays & Sundays, 10 am - 2 pm and 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm
- June 23 & 24, July 1 & 15: 10 am to 2 pm, closed in the afternoon

Last access is 45 minutes before closing time. These hours are subject to change.
Special periods
Easter Week: On April 3 & 10, the castle will be open 10 am - 2 pm and 4 pm - 7 pm. April 6 - 9, the castle will be open 10 am - 2 pm and 4 pm - 8 pm.
On May 20, June 24, and December 24, the castle will only be open 10 am - 2 pm.
