Charlottenburg Palace Tickets + Audio Guide
Charlottenburg Palace
Charlottenburg Palace was originally built for Sophia Charlotte of Hanover at the end of the 17th century. It later became the summer residence of the Prussian kings, including Frederick I, the first King of Prussia, and his grandson Frederick II the Great, serving as one of the main residences of the monarchy until the end of World War I.
With this ticket, you’ll discover the true atmosphere of the Prussian court in one of Berlin’s most iconic palaces. You’ll learn how the Hohenzollern dynasty became one of the most powerful royal houses in Europe during the 18th and 19th centuries. You’ll also admire artifacts of incalculable value that once belonged to the family and learn about their passions and hidden talents.
You’ll also follow the route with an English audio guide, which will take you through the rooms of the Royal Palace, the palace’s baroque gardens, the Great Orangery, the Mausoleum, the Belvedere, and the New Pavilion, where the visit will end. The visit is estimated to last about 3.5 hours.
