Are you familiar with Transylvania's heritage? On this trip from Brasov, we'll enter Romania's heartland to visit Peleș and Cantacuzino Castles whose fervent history will excite you.
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Brasov and make our way southwards towards one of the most beautiful towns in Transylvania, in Romania's heartland.
After a 50-minute journey, we'll arrive at Sinaia, where we'll enjoy a guided tour of Peleș Castle. This magnificent residence, decorated in the Bavarian style and located in a dense forest, was the home of Romanian royalty in the 19th century and is considered one of the most beautiful castles in Europe. We'll visit the different rooms, in which both the furniture and marvellous original decorations have been well conserved.
After visiting the Peleș Castle, we'll take a short panoramic tour of the nearby town. On this tour, we'll take in the Sinaia Monastery, founded in 1695 by Prince Mihail Cantacuzino, and the Old Church, which regained all its splendour after the last restoration in 2016. Next, you'll have around 45 minutes of free time to grab something for lunch in Sinaia's historic centre.
After eating, we'll meet up again to make our way north towards the Cantacuzino Castle, where we'll take another guided tour. Built in the neoroman style, this early 20th-century fortress houses a distguished décor which is famous for its Roman mosaics and Murano glass chandeliers.
Once the tour has come to an end, we'll begin our journey back to the hotels in Brasov, where we'll arrive after around 6.5 hours together.
