Bryce Canyon Stargazing Tour
Stargazing at Bryce Canyon
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at the location in Bryce Canyon City of your choice. From there, we'll embark on an adventure that will take us far beyond the boundaries of our planet. Are you ready to fall in love with the night sky? Let's get started!
After a brief introduction to the exceptional darkness of this region of Utah, we'll get ready to look up at the sky like you've never done before.
Accompanied by an expert astronomy guide, we'll use high-tech telescopes to locate constellations, planets, and distant star clusters. Depending on the time of year and sky conditions, we'll have the opportunity to get a close-up view of Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons, and fascinating nebulae that seem to float above us.
During the experience, the guide will combine scientific facts with fascinating stories that will bring the cosmos to life. Plus, we'll learn simple astrophotography techniques so you can capture spectacular images with your own camera or smartphone. It'll be the best souvenir of the night!
To make the evening as comfortable as possible, we'll provide chairs, blankets, and hot drinks. After 1.5 hours of exploring the mysteries of the night sky, we'll wrap up the stargazing activity at the original meeting point.
Tour Options
During the booking process, you can opt for one of the following options. Both last 1.5 hours, include an English-speaking guide, transport, and the use of professional telescopes.
- Sunset Tour: this option is perfect for those who want to begin their astronomical adventure in the early hours of the night. We'll make the most of the moment when the stars start to appear in the Utah night sky to identify the major constellations and celestial objects visible.
- Midnight Tour: this tour begins around midnight, when the sky is at its darkest and clearest. As we move away from even the slightest light pollution, we'll witness the cosmos in all its splendor, creating a unique contrast that allows us to observe galaxies and deep-sky objects that are usually invisible to the naked eye.
Meeting Points
During the booking process, you can choose between starting the activity at Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel or Ruby's Inn hotel.
