Bucaramanga Churches Tour + Cerro del Santísimo Visit
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Bucaramanga to start a tour that blends spirituality, heritage, and history by visiting the most symbolic churches of the city and its surroundings.
Our first stop will be at the Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, where we'll explore its catacombs, a unique space that connects religion with the city's past. Then, we'll head to the neighborhood of San Francisco to visit the Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís and discover the legacy of the Franciscan community.
In the center, we'll visit the Catedral Metropolitana de la Sagrada Familia, one of the most important cathedrals in the city. Afterward, we'll stroll around the Parque Santander, surrounded by iconic buildings such as the Club del Comercio and the old Hotel Bucarica.
Next, we'll reach the Parroquia de San Laureano, one of the oldest churches in Bucaramanga, located next to the Parque García Rovira and the Plaza Cívica Luis Carlos Galán, the epicenter of Santander's administrative and political life.
Then, we'll cross the impressive Viaducto de la Novena bridge toward Girón, a town that's part of La Red Turística de Pueblos Patrimonio in Colombia ("The Tourism Network of Heritage Towns"). Here, we'll visit the Basílica Menor Santuario del Señor de los Milagros and walk along its famous cobbled streets with white facades, where we'll enjoy a cup of award-winning specialty coffee.
Lastly, we'll visit the Cerro del Santísimo, a natural and spiritual sanctuary that offers an unparalleled view of the entire metropolitan area.
To end the tour on a high note, before returning, we'll enjoy the typical food of Santander so you can try the authentic flavors of the region.
Finally, we'll take you back to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 5 hours.
