Argentinian Mate Workshop (25 Minutes)
This Argentinian mate workshop in Buenos Aires will take place in a store in the center of the capital, located in La Recoleta.
In a room dedicated entirely to mate, we'll begin the workshop by learning about the origins of this world-famous infusion. We'll reveal who invented the drink, the different ways in which it's consumed, its historical and cultural relevance, and, above all, its wonderful aromas and flavours!
During the workshop, we'll taste three agroecological and smoked yerba varieties, as well as different mate grinds and blends.
Between one infusion and the next, we'll also learn about some of the legends associated with the world of mate—some of which date back as long as several hundred years ago!
Finally, after this 25-minute Argentinian mate workshop, we'll conclude this activity.
ArgentinianMate Workshop + Dessert Tasting (50 Minutes)
In this case, we'll carry out the same experience described in the previous section. While preparing and tasting the yerba mate, we'll accompany these infusions with a tasting of Argentine desserts consisting of medialunas (crescent rolls), homemade alfajores (dulce de leche sandwich cookies), and cheese or chipá scones.
